The Indy Star reported the TechPoint Mira Award nominations and LeadJen is excited to announce that they have been nominated for a TechPoint Mira Award in the category of IT Services Excellence and Innovation.

TechPoint Mira Awards Reflect, Growth, Prosperity of Indiana’s Tech Focused Businesses, Schools, and Professionals.

Largest nominee class in program’s 13-year history – 122 nominees in seven categories

Referred to by insiders as “Indiana’s Technology Oscars,” Mira Award Winners will be announced at a Black-Tie Gala on Saturday, May 12th at the JW Marriott

TechPoint, Indiana’s technology growth initiative, has announced the nominees for its 13th annual Mira Awards presented by BKD CPAs & Advisors. According to TechPoint President and CEO Jim Jay, the Mira Awards grew by more than 50 percent this year, besting its previous record for a total of 122 total Mira Awards nominees.

TechPoint Mira Awards recognize excellence and innovation through the achievement of Indiana’s outstanding technology industry performers and contributors, and focuses attention on the broader issue of the important role technology plays in Indiana’s economy.

Independent Mira Award judges evaluate and score each submitted nomination, and the scoring determines which nominees become finalists. Finalists will be announced by March 12. Mira Award finalists will deliver presentations and answer questions in-person to one of seven panels of judges.

The 2012 Mira Award winners will be announced at a black-tie, “Oscars-style” award ceremony being held Saturday, May 12, at the JW Marriott Indianapolis. TechPoint will again honor past Mira Award winners and finalists attending the ceremony with a special “Winner’s Circle” VIP reception at the Gala. Visit http://www.techpoint.org/mira for more information about the activities and special features of the 2012 Mira Awards Gala.

“I am not all that surprised by this year’s record-smashing number of nominees,” Jim Jay said. “The tech sector has been a bright spot in our economy throughout the recession, and recent national exposure for cutting edge, innovative Indiana tech firms has really energized the community. I think we’re on the threshold of another great technological growth spurt in Indiana.”

In addition to the six competitive Mira Award categories, three special industry recognitions — TechPoint Foundation for Youth BridgeBuilder Award, TechPoint Young Professional of the Year, and TechPoint Trailblazer in Technology Award — are selected by the TechPoint Foundation for Youth and TechPoint boards of directors respectively.
